Sunil Bharti Mittal is the Founder and Chairman of Bharti Enterprises. Founded in 1976, Bharti is one of India’s foremost first-generation corporations with interests in Telecom, Space Communications, Digital Infrastructure, Financial Services, Real Estate and Hospitality. The Enterprise has joint ventures with several global partners like SingTel, the UK and French Governments, amongst others.
Bharti Airtel, the flagship venture of Bharti Enterprises, is a global telecommunications company with operations in 15 countries across India and Africa and ranks amongst the top three mobile operators globally. One of India’s largest integrated communications solutions provider, Airtel is also the second-largest mobile operator in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a presence in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka through its associate entities, this global company serves more than half a billion customers.
Sunil is also the Co-Chairman of Eutelsat, a global leader in satellite communications and a Director on the Board of BT Group Plc, the UK’s leading fixed and mobile communications provider.
In recognition of his contribution to business and economy, Sunil has been with the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors, awarded to individuals for demonstrating distinguished services. He has been conferred as an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) making him the first Indian citizen to receive this recognition from HM King Charles III.
Sunil has received the GSM Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award—a rare honour reserved for individuals with extraordinary and enduring contributions to the global mobile ecosystem, in addition to the GSM Association’s prestigious Chairman’s Award. A member on Harvard University’s Global Advisory Council, and a recipient of Harvard Business School’s Alumni Achievement Award, he has also been conferred Honorary Doctorates by several leading universities in India, UK and Europe.
Sunil has served as the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of GSM Association concurrently from 2016 - 2018. He has been a Trustee at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace from 2009 - 2021. Through India’s G20 Presidency in 2023, Sunil steered the B20 India Action Council on African Economic Integration as its Chair. Currently, he is a Commissioner at the International Telecommunication Union/UNESCO Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, and a member of the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council. Sunil also serves on the Global Board of Advisors at the Council on Foreign Relations, and as a Member on Hakluyt’s International Advisory Board. In the past, he has served on the boards of several multinational companies including Unilever PLC, Standard Chartered Bank PLC and SoftBank Corp.
Sunil is closely associated with spearheading the Indian industry’s global trade and investments initiatives. He has served on the Prime Minister of India’s Council on Trade and Industry and was also President of the Confederation of Indian Industry from 2007-2008. He is Co-Chair of the India-UK CEO Forum as well as the India-Africa Business Council. He has been contributing to India’s global business priorities in his roles as Anchor of the ICT, Emerging Technologies & Digital Infrastructure Working Group of the India-US CEO Forum; as a Principal at the World Bank Group’s Private Sector Investment Lab; and as a member on the India-Japan and India-Sweden CEO Forums.
Sunil believes that a responsible corporate has a duty to give back meaningfully to the community. This belief has resulted in the Bharti Airtel Foundation, which currently runs 155 Satya Bharti Schools and supports over 1,000 government schools under its Quality Support Program to ensure equity in access to holistic, excellent education. As Chairman of the Foundation, he has further embedded this vision through the Foundation’s various initiatives to make world-class higher education available to meritorious young scholars across India and Africa.

Born in 1960, Rajan joined Bharti Enterprises after graduating from Panjab University. An alumnus of Harvard Business School, he is actively involved in overseeing the activities of the group at the corporate level. With his rich experience in the marketing function, he is also involved in many of the new business ventures of the Group.
Rajan serves as a member of several industry associations and policymaking bodies. He is currently a Member on the Singapore Management University’s International Advisory Council, an Honorary Member at the Board of Trustees of Brookings Institution, the world’s oldest and most prestigious think tank and a member of the President’s Council on International Activities (PCIA), Yale University. Additionally, he is an Independent Director on the Boards of companies like Marico and Global Health Limited.
Rajan is amongst the Champions of EDISON Alliance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) - a cross-sector platform to accelerate collaborative action for digital inclusion. He is also a member of the India-Singapore CEO Forum.
He served as the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for the year 2009 - 2010 and is currently a Member of its Executive & Steering Committees. He was also President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) India in 2012-13. Rajan has been the President of Association of Basic Telecom Operators (now known as Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India - AUSPI) for 1999-2000.
Rajan has been honored with the “Indian Business Leader of the Year Award 2011” by Horasis, The Global Visions Community and has also been awarded the “Leonardo International Prize 2012” by Comitato Leonardo, the Italian Quality Committee.
Mr. Devendra Khanna (Deven) has nearly 40 years of experience in finance and general management. Deven has been with the Group since 2004 and has held various leadership positions including Corporate Director - Finance and Group Director - Chairman’s Office. He has spearheaded financial reporting, business planning, revenue assurance, taxation, risk management and a host of strategic projects including structuring initiatives.
Deven serves as a Director on the boards of Bharti Enterprises (Holdings) Private Limited, Bharti Telecom Limited, Bharti Hexacom Limited, Bharti Telemedia Limited and has served on the boards of Bharti Life Insurance Company Limited, formerly known as Bharti Axa Life Insurance Company Limited and Bharti AXA General Insurance Company Limited.
Earlier, Deven worked with Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited as the Chief Financial Officer for a business portfolio including sugar, steam turbines, sugar machinery, water treatment, micro hydel and oil drilling.
Deven is a commerce graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Ms Chua Sock Koong is Senior Advisor at Singapore Telecommunications Limited, Asia’s leading communications technology group, having served as its Group Chief Executive Officer for 13 years until 31 December 2020.
Sock Koong sits on the boards of Bharti Airtel Limited, Bharti Telecom Limited, the Defence Science and Technology Agency and Cap Vista Pte Ltd. She is also a Director of Prudential plc and Ayala Corporation, and a Member of the Supervisory Board of Royal Philips. She is also a Non- Executive Director in Bharti Airtel Limited
She is Deputy Chairman of Singapore’s Public Service Commission and a member of the Council of Presidential Advisers.
Sock Koong was conferred the Medal of Commendation (Gold) at NTUC May Day Awards 2016 and the Public Service Star (BBM) at Singapore’s 2019 National Day Awards.
Sock Koong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from the University of Singapore. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a CFA charterholder.
Mr Arthur Lang, 51, was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer on 1 April 2021. He is responsible for Singtel Group’s finance-related functions, including treasury, tax and investor relations and he also oversees the management of the Group’s regional associates and its portfolio of strategic telecom investments. He also spearheads Singtel’s efforts in GXS, the regional digital bank joint venture with Grab. He is also a Non-Executive Director in Bharti Airtel Limited.
Arthur joined Singtel in January 2017 as CEO, International. Before joining Singtel, he was Group CFO of CapitaLand, where he also ran CapitaLand’s real estate investment management business. He was awarded the Best CFO (Large Cap) at the 2015 Singapore Corporate Awards. Prior to CapitaLand, Arthur was at Morgan Stanley where he was Co-head of the Southeast Asia investment banking division and Chief Operating Officer of the Asia Pacific investment banking division.
Arthur was named Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation in November 2020. He is also a board member of Bharti Airtel, Intouch Holdings, AIS, GXS Bank, the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and Singapore Tourism Board. In 2018, Arthur was awarded the Public Service Medal for his contributions.
Arthur has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics (magna cum laude) from Harvard University.
Arvind Kohli is an Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and a diploma in intellectual property rights law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He is a member of the Indian Council of Arbitration, Institute of Company Secretaries of India and All India Management Association. He is also an associate member of the Indian Society of International Law. He is eligible to practise as a registered valuer for the asset class ‘Securities or Financial Assets’ and holds a certificate of registration as a valuer issued by Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. He has over 25 years of experience of practicing as a company secretary.
Mr. Ravi Kaushal is a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has over 34 years of rich varied experience in financial planning, direct taxes and liquidity management. He inspires the ability to innovate with new ideas and energise with a strong passion and entrepreneurial spirit. His keen eye for detail has aided in increasing willingness to learn and adapt to the environment and the stakeholders’ evolving needs.
